About Us

The CPC of Southwest MS is a locally organized and funded ministry which offers alternatives to abortion for women experiencing crisis pregnancies.  Concerned Christians from the community have bonded together to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in bringing the resources of the local churches and community to bear upon the problems facing women in crisis pregnancies.  The CPC is governed by a local board of directors.  A coordinator manages the operations of the ministry and supervises a staff of well-trained Christian volunteers who counsel with clients and provide support services.  Concerned community leaders make up an advisory board which acts as a consultant for the operation of the CPC. 

The CPC is staffed by volunteers who have undergone training in
crisis counseling. Most volunteers and paid staff do not have degrees
in counseling and are not licensed by the state as professional
counselors. The peer counseling undertaken at the CPC is not intended
to be a substitute for professional counseling. A referral for such
counseling will be given if requested. The CPC is NOT a medical
facility. The result of your pregnancy test is not a diagnosis. It is
recommended that you contact a physician to confirm your pregnancy
test result.
